CABLZ CANADA SET TO PARTNER WITH RAHFISH GBAY TEAM SERIES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – APRIL 3, 2025
The Rahfish GBay Team Series announces a 3 year partnership with Cablz Canada. Joining the GBay Team Series for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 seasons.
“We are very excited to partner with Cablz Canada”, says Tim Hine owner of Rahfish. “Not only does the Cablz product fit within the tournament fishing and cottage country scene with many anglers and cottagers alike wearing sunglasses, but I have personally known the Burke family for the better part of a decade and they have supported the Rahfish brand for as long as I can remember. This commitment to work and grow together for the next 3 years aligns very well with both sides.”
Cablz started in 2017 when the Burke family came across Cablz in Port Sandfield, Muskoka, which was the only store in Canada that carried the product at the time. They immediately recognized a dramatic gap in the marketplace for a significantly better eyewear retainer, as opposed to the traditional neoprene straps that everyone hated to wear – them included.
Over the last 8 years, and in the face of COVID and an economic downturn across this country, Cablz has grown exponentially and is now sold in over 1200 retail locations across Canada, and with their new partnerships in Canadian Tire, SportChek and Mark’s, they will hit over 2000 stores in 2025.
“Along the way until now”, says Tim Burke owner of Mammoth Brands Inc, “our tiny family company started with Kim and I, and it grew to encompass our two children who now form an integral part of the business. Today all four of us tackle the business together, travelling across the country, visiting various retail locations and trade shows. It truly is a family operation.”
As we tread through these unchartered economic times, more and more of us focus on supporting local and Canadian businesses. The Burke family, who currently reside in Toronto and who have spent the vast majority of their lives in Muskoka, have poured their blood, sweat and tears into the brand. They have travelled back and forth across Canada spreading the word about the Cablz brand, all while wearing the brand on their sleeve. 2025 is setting up to be a very important year for the Cablz brand, and the family felt that the partnership with the Rahfish GBay Team Series was an important step. Timing couldn’t have been better!
“Our partnership with Rahfish blossomed from seeing them grow through the same period,” says Tim Burke. “Recognizing the quality of their products, which we bought for our family, we knew the future of our brand and our partnership with Rahfish would be extremely bright. We look forward to keeping your expensive eyewear on their heads and not in the water!”
If you are tired of losing your eyewear, look no further than Cablz. Cablz eyewear retainers are the first and only eyewear retainers on the market today with a patented ball bearing technology. The cable can be folded to be put away without being kinked, and will return back to its intended position…and of course assists in keeping your eyewear safe and sound.
The partnership of Cablz and Rahfish is set to kick off immediately, with a few special announcements coming throughout the 2025 season. Look for Cablz products at a retail store near you, and of course this year at all of the 2025 Rahfish GBay Team Series tournaments. The fun get started on Saturday July 5th, in Penetanguishene!
